Troubleshooting Chada Cart Recovery

Cart Recovery Updated 23 August 2026

Nothing is being sent

Start on Settings → General — the status panel is built for this question.

  • Capture: Off — the plugin is disabled; tick Enabled.
  • Plan: No licence — carts are captured but nothing sends without an active licence. Activate it on the License screen.
  • Background sweep: Not scheduled — Action Scheduler isn’t running. Reloading the page re-schedules it; if it keeps disappearing, check that WooCommerce is active and that your host isn’t blocking loopback requests.
  • Queued emails: 0 with abandoned carts showing — check the rules: a cart that failed one shows the reason under its status on the Carts screen.

Emails send but go to spam

This is your mail setup, not the plugin — see the last section of Email design and deliverability. Send from a domain you own through a transactional email service with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured.

A cart shows “Ignored”

The reason is under the status: unsubscribed, ordered recently, below minimum value, or contains an excluded product. Ignored also results from a completed order placed without following a recovery link, and from the Ignore action.

Guest carts aren’t captured

Guests are captured only after they enter an email and tick the consent box at checkout. If your theme replaces the checkout form, confirm the consent box actually appears. Signed-in customers are captured from the cart page instead — make sure Logged-in customers is on.

The idle window seems wrong

The sweep runs every five minutes, so a cart becomes abandoned up to five minutes after the idle window elapses. Steps are then scheduled from that moment, and any step outside the send window is held until it opens.

Someone says they unsubscribed but still got an email

Check the unsubscribe list on Settings → Privacy & GDPR. If the address isn’t there, the unsubscribe didn’t complete — the link is signed per address, so a forwarded or retyped link won’t work. Ask them to use the link in their own email again; the plugin never emails an address once it’s on the list.
