What is WooFraudGuard?

WooFraudGuard Updated 23 August 2026

WooFraudGuard is a WooCommerce anti-fraud plugin that evaluates every order at checkout and assigns it a risk score from 0 to 100. Based on that score it can automatically approve, flag for review, hold for verification, or cancel the order — before payment is collected.

The WooFraudGuard dashboard: four statistics tiles across the top, then panels for recent flagged orders, recent chargebacks and top trigger rules.
The dashboard summarises the last 30 days. A freshly installed store reads zero until orders start coming through.

What WooFraudGuard protects against

  • Stolen card testing — bots placing rapid low-value orders to verify a card BIN.
  • Mismatched identities — shipping to a different country or address than the billing card.
  • Datacenter & private-range IPs — orders arriving from cloud/hosting IP ranges, detected out of the box. VPN, proxy and Tor exits need the optional MaxMind integration.
  • Disposable email accounts — addresses from throwaway email providers.
  • Repeat fraudsters — customers or devices that previously caused a chargeback (premium).
  • Bot-speed checkouts — orders placed faster than a human could fill in the form (premium).

Lite tier vs. premium tiers

WooFraudGuard ships with seven built-in rules that work without a license (the Lite tier). A Premium license unlocks four additional rules, order-graph linking, and the Stripe/PayPal dispute webhooks. All three Premium tiers (1 site, 5 sites, unlimited) unlock exactly the same feature set — they differ only in how many sites you may activate on.
