Activating Chada Backup Premium – CHADA Creatives Inc. Shop

Premium is unlocked by a licence key tied to your CHADA marketplace subscription. The free features keep working whether or not a key is present.

Find your key

After purchase, your key is shown on the order confirmation, included in the confirmation email, and always available under My Account → Licenses — alongside the sites it’s activated on and the plugin download.

Activate

Go to Chada Backup → License.
Paste your key and click Activate.
The panel shows your tier, the number of sites used, and when the subscription renews.

Sites and seats

Each tier allows a number of sites: 1, 5 or unlimited. A site is counted by its host name, so http vs https, a port, or a www. prefix never consume a second seat. Deactivate a site from the License screen, from My Account → Licenses, or with the CLI to free a seat. On a multisite network one licence covers the whole network and is activated once, from Network Admin.

How entitlement works

The plugin verifies a signed licence response from the marketplace and re-checks it daily in the background. Premium features follow the signed entitlement — not a value you can flip in the database — and trust expires automatically if the plugin can’t reach the marketplace for an extended period, after which it falls back to the free tier until it can revalidate.

When a licence expires or is cancelled

Your existing backups, schedules and destinations stay exactly as they are and the plugin keeps working. Premium features pause (extra schedules stop dispatching, extra remote destinations stop receiving uploads, recovery points stop being captured) and updates stop until you renew. Nothing is deleted. The License screen explains why Premium is unavailable — expired, suspended, revoked or unreachable — so you know what to do next.
