What is Chada Duplicate?

Chada Duplicate is a free WordPress plugin that lets you clone any post, page, custom post type, or WooCommerce product with a single click. It is designed to save time whenever you need a near-identical copy of an existing piece of content — start from a polished template instead of a blank slate.

What Chada Duplicate clones

When you duplicate a post, Chada Duplicate recreates it with everything intact:

• Title — copied with a configurable suffix appended (default: (copy)).
• Content and excerpt — the full post body, including block editor content and ACF flexible-content fields stored in post_content.
• Author — either the original author or the current user, depending on your settings.
• Parent, menu order, and page template — structural metadata is preserved.
• All taxonomy terms — categories, tags, and any custom taxonomies assigned to the original.
• All post meta — every meta key is copied except a small set of internal WordPress keys that should never transfer (configurable).
• Featured image — the _thumbnail_id reference is copied so the same image is set on the new post.
• Comments — optional; off by default so fresh drafts start with a clean slate.
• WooCommerce products — product type, attributes, variations (fully recreated with parent re-linking), gallery images, downloadable files, and SKU (auto-suffixed for uniqueness).

Three entry points

You can trigger a duplicate from three places — whichever fits your workflow:

1. Row action — a Duplicate link appears under the post title when you hover any row in the Posts, Pages, or Products list table.
2. Bulk action — select multiple posts, choose Duplicate from the bulk actions dropdown, and click Apply to clone them all at once.
3. Editor button — a Copy to a new draft button sits in the Status & Visibility panel (block editor) and the Publish meta box (classic editor).
